La Porchetta Pizza Restaurant

5 out of 5

Well, there’s no other way to put it than this: Every time I leave La Porchetta in Boronia, I feel sick. Many times have I traipsed home after eating there with a queasy tummy and a distinct hint of green in my cheeks, simply because I couldn’t refuse eating more food while I was there. Although my stomach was full, my tastebuds wanted more, and who could say no to a giant tiramisu or kahlua mousse cake, even after a pizza?

The large range of food tastes great and is reasonably priced, the staff are friendly (and will recognise regular customers!), the inside decor is warm and nice, and the outside dining area is pleasantly shaded. There is a function room for hire as well, although I haven’t actually seen it myself.

But the best thing about La Porchetta is the desserts… you see them in the display case as you walk through the door, and it’s pretty much a guarantee that you’ll be thinking about them all through the meal. And oh! The generous serves! A tiramisu is enough for a lunch on its own (and has acted as such on many occasions).
So, dear Nook people, I highly recommend you visit La Porchetta in Boronia… and no matter how much self control you come in the door with, it won’t be leaving with you. :D

My girlfriend had a bad experience with the one in Echuca, so I guess they all have to be taken on merit… you like the food and staff.. you go back. If a restaurant food makes you heave and the staff are rude, then you talk with your feet and advise as many people as possible.

I usually go to the La Porchetta in Box Hill near my home but they’re always so busy and crowded!

I LOVE anywhere with good pasta in generous serves. The FASTA PASTA chain is up there too. Everytime I go to Boronia I eat wayyyyyy too much. Usually have to be rolled out. Best pasta in the world is still the one Mum makes with love!

for a really great meal, in boronia you should try nourishme - over the road from La Porchy and up towards the police station. Fantastic burgers, beef, lamb, chicken and vegetarian, all grilled, great looking salads and fruit smoothy-type drinks. The burgers are the best i have EVER eaten! You don’t come away feeling all heavy, just fresh and clean (especially with the vegan ones).

i know u, u and your sister luv to eat the desserts, how do u stay so skinny? r u older or younger? talk soon.

  11. 11 Lady Chaos

Hehe… yep, that’s definitely us :) ! The secret to staying skinny is to eat lots of small meals and walk everywhere. We don’t want to get our licenses, so if we want to eat lots of junk food, we have to walk to buy it… and so we use up the energy.

I’m older, but just by a minute… my sister’s a bit taller though.
