Debt
To kill them again you must raise the dead
A flick of your hand, a nod of your head
A shadowy shape, a flash of light
As I sink in debt another night
Conductor of the symphony
Commander of the infantry
Parallel lines trapped in symmetry
A metaphor trapped in a simile
A dream in which I must invest
Putting the master to the test
Proven the very, very best
Charging compound interest
Merchant of the mutual power
I purchase in sweet and pay in sour
Swinging between elation and regret
Living each second moment in debt.
