Valentines Day: A good chance to show your affection, or just a hallmark holiday for corporate profits?
Published 1 year, 11 months ago in My life. What do you think Valentines Day is? A great chance to show love for your special someone or make that first move and ask them out…
… Or just a fake holiday dreamed up by companies who can make profit from flowers, cards, etc?
I personally love any excuse to celebrate anything, and of course think Valentines day is great! But what do you think?

smile though tour heart is broken and laugh when you fell like crying
I’m an old romantic, but we never celebrate St Val day, or the day we first met, or any of that stuff. But, we just do stuff when we feel like it, or when the other half seems to need a cheer up.
Christmas and birthdays, we set ourseslves a $10 limit. Not because we are cheap, but because it is more fun to get something useful, or appropriate, or just appropriately fun. I have had many lovely expensive gifts, but the ones i cherish most, are the ones which satisfied a need.

It’s a great day for the florists to make the most money they can in one day of the year. It’s a fake holiday - if you love someone you don’t need to go overboard on one day of the year, you show them in all that you do and say all year. It’s all got a bit sickly cute.
Some people think of it as a Hallmark holiday, but I think if you actually use it as a day to really show ur loved ones how much you love them, you’re using the day properly. And not just your partner, I’m talking friends and family too!!! My boyfriend and I still like to do something, even if it’s just dinner, but he does little things all year long to show me he loves me, and that’s a lot more important to me than just the one day a year!
BLERK!
BTW. To find Jaded Temple look them up on GOOGLE and as soon as I know about there next gig I’ll look you up. Deal?
Deal! Thankyou!
