Lady Chaos - My Very Chaotic Nook

On Saturday my dear Mr Right took me to see Quentin Tarantino’s movie, Death Proof, at the cinema. Now, we didn’t go in with incredibly high expectations - after all, this is meant to be half of Grindhouse - intentionally B-grade exploitation films. But we didn’t have overly low expectations either - after all, Quentin did direct the best movies ever made (Kill Bill 1 & 2). But somehow Death Proof still managed to amaze me with its brilliance.

Now, I don’t want to spoil any of the plot of this wonderful work of genius for you, but let’s just say it’s the best movie I’ve seen this year, which is quite a compliment considering I watched Stardust a few months back and saw Lock Stock on DVD. Also, even though it was just a normal screening (not a premiere or anything, even a half-empty cinema), the thunder of applause and cheers it generated was just beautiful, and well deserved.

And so now, unless you have an intense disliking for exciting movies that don’t fit the typical formula, you absolutely have to see Death Proof.
